Ertuğ Tuğalan studied at the Journalism Department of Ankara University. He started his career as a copywriter in Ankara in 2006. He won awards in the directing category at the Golden Orange and Golden Boll film festivals with the documentaries he shot in those years. His documentaries received special awards at the New York Film Festival and Polish Dokufest and were shown at the Istanbul Film Festival and the Ankara Film Festival.

In 2008, he started working as a copywriter for Medina Turgul DDB. After working for a short time at the Rafineri in 2011, he moved to Concept. He won great and special awards for his 5 years of work at Concept. Later, he returned to Medina Turgul DDB as Creative Director. Together with his teammates at Concept and Medina Turgul DDB, he received numerous awards in Cannes Lions, London International Awards, Epica, Eurobest, Golden Drum, New York Festivals, Crystal Apple, Felis and other national competitions. He was a jury member in competitions such as New York Festivals, Kristal Elma, Felis, and Kırmızı. He is currently continuing his career as Executive Creative Director at Medina Turgul DDB.
