He is currently ECD at a small but feisty creative shop called TOMORROW, which is based in Shanghai and part of Swedish H&H group. They have recently been selected Boutique Agency of the Year across Greater China by Campaign Asia.
Before moving to China, he was a Creative Director in English, at Jung von Matt/Spree in Berlin on BMW, MINI Europe Thomas Cook Airlines, Sixt, Reporters Without Borders and OhYouWomen, among others. And made his small contribution, next to the team, to Jung von Matt becoming Independent Agency of the Year at New York Festivals, D&AD, Cannes Lions and Lovie Awards 2018.
Prior to this, he was the Executive Creative Director of GMP/Jung von Matt, the biggest independent agency in Bucharest, twice awarded under his creative leadership Independent Agency of New Europe by Golden Drum, the main creative festival in CEE. GMP is also the highest-ranking Romanian independent agency in the Global Effie Effectiveness Index and the Gunn Report.
He has also created work and coordinated teams in big network offices like BBDO Bucharest and BBDO Berlin. He has led the creative output of BBDO Bucharest and helped them win their first Agency of the Year title at the local ADC Awards and Effie Awards, respectively. He is used to hands-on roles in which he can ideate and craft ideas alongside his team, but also to selling high-standard work to C-Suite levels. He has been at teacher of integrated campaigns at Miami Ad School Berlin and the Art Directors Club Portfolio School and Cannes Lions Academy in Bucharest.
He has worked across a multitude of accounts, both local and global, covering all types of categories from finance and automotive (including Volkswagen and Dacia) to FMCG and telecom. He has been a regional creative director on Whiskas and a group creative director on the Allianz Worldwide team in Berlin.
He love creating digital content at the speed of culture. He gave a cheeky answer to the British Government with a campaign developed overnight, which went on to win the Eurobest Grand Prix in PR. Later on, he fought post-Brexit xenophobia with empathy and ended up on CNN. He has transformed cans into billboards to make the Instagram generation fall in love with the world’s greatest brand again. He has made UEFA change their mind. He has created an app that allowed people to co-create a brand launch. He has used tech to turn a historical landmark into a historic statement and won a Yellow Pencil at D&AD in the process. He has fought unequal pay with a quirky music video that made headlines across Europe. Most recently, he has inspired Chinese youth to affirm its creativity in a country-wide activation powered by ABSOLUT.
